EGR Valve Solution & Fault Fix
An EGR solution helps you burn fuel more efficiently by stopping dirty exhaust gas from recirculating back into the engine — less soot, less clogging, better performance.
What is an EGR Solution?
An EGR Valve solution helps you burn fuel better and stops dirty exhaust gas from recirculating back into the system. Less soot build-up means the diesel particulate filter and other engine components are less likely to clog up and fail.
Why EGR Valves Cause Problems
A clogged Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve causes a range of performance issues including rough idle, stalling, reduced power, and increased fuel consumption — along with a lit dashboard warning light and potentially black smoke from the exhaust. The clogging is due to carbon and soot build-up, which also affects the intake manifold, causing massive power loss and smoke.
Common Fault Codes
P0400–P0409 EGR flow fault codes, engine management light, rough or lumpy idle, reduced power under load, excessive black smoke, and a sticky or seized EGR valve.
The Process
The EGR map tables are zeroed in the ECU, removing all EGR activity from software. The physical valve can also be blanked off for a complete, permanent solution with no moving parts to fail.
Result
Cleaner intake manifold over time, smoother idle, improved throttle response, better fuel efficiency, and no more EGR-related warning lights or fault codes.
