Is ECU remapping legal in the UK?
Stage 1 performance remaps are legal for road use. DPF, AdBlue, and NOx sensor solutions are intended for off-road or track use only — we explain the legal position clearly before any work is carried out.
Will a remap void my manufacturer warranty?
Potentially yes — main dealers can detect ECU software changes during servicing. However, since we always save your original ECU file, it can be fully restored before any dealer visit.
Do I need to tell my insurer?
Yes. Any engine modification must be declared to your insurer. Failure to disclose can invalidate your policy. We recommend contacting your insurer before booking performance tuning.
How long does it take?
Most Stage 1 remaps are completed in 60–90 minutes at your location. DPF, AdBlue, and sensor solution work typically takes 2–3 hours depending on the vehicle.
Is it reversible?
